Yeah, yeah, I know. Cheeky little blog title, isn’t it? We all stand on the shoulders of giants—sometimes giants who are 10+ years younger than we are. So yes, a deep bow of appreciation to Frédéric Laloux and his seminal work, Reinventing Organizations. This blog isn’t a rip-off of his work—rather, it’s an appreciation of the professional reinvention I’ve experienced over the past years.

I will soon be launching my new website. Yay!

My first Kaleidoscope Development website launched in 2012, as I took my first steps into independent practice.

As I write this, that original site is still live—barely. Anyone who tries to visit it gets a big, alarming “Warning!!” message.

The brave few who persist are rewarded with some rather ancient writings, a photo of me in my 40s, and positioning statements about why I do what I do, and how I do it—which, remarkably, I still stand by today.

When I first launched, I asked esteemed colleagues for feedback. Their responses? A mixed bag of “It’s not very corporate, is it?” and the ever-memorable “Oooh…” (or was it “Ewwww…”?) followed by, “You use the word love. Is that wise?”

Reading those words today, 13 years on, I see the same core passions running through them—transformation from the inside out, collaboration, creativity, sustainability, impact, systemic thinking, positive psychology, and the full meshing of the personal and professional.

That core still stands. So far, so similar.

And yet, my new website… well, it’s even more colourful. It reflects not just Love, but also Loss, Grief, Regeneration, and New Life. It embraces even larger systems, spanning the human and more-than-human world, the legacy we leave for future generations, and the pressing challenges of climate and biodiversity. It invites learning from Nature and the Cycle of Life—acknowledging that life cannot exist without death, and that embracing seasonality is crucial to our growth.

What’s even more different is me.

My sense of self has evolved. My worldview has shifted irrevocably. My way of being in the world—and therefore, my “instrument”—is tuned in ways I could never have imagined, let alone foreseen, back in 2012.

And yet, I am still fundamentally the same. Passionate about supporting people in organisations to live into their fullest selves, their fullest potential, their fullest lives. Exploring their fears, dismantling their barriers, strengthening and enlivening their capacity for connection and relationship. Encouraging love, compassion, and belonging—not just as nice-to-haves, but as essential forces for thriving.

Perhaps my work today is more therapeutic than business-oriented. But then again, business is built on people. And people cannot thrive without connection and relationship.

I have never been one of those coaches who says, “I really like people, but I don’t like organisations.” I love both. The two go hand in hand. People make up organisations, and organisations hold and shape people in return. It’s a dynamic relationship—mutual, alive, and essential for navigating a changing world.

What remains, and what changes?

In my new work, the core services—organisation development, executive and team coaching—still stand. But the lenses through which I see, the heart with which I engage, the antennae that guide me, and the hands, courage, spirit, and soul that show up—these have all changed. Shaped by years of personal loss, collective grief, and planetary upheaval. Some of it may look the same on paper, but in practice, it will be a wholly different experience.

When you’re ready, take a wander through my new website. It reflects my evolving interests and skills, and how they meet today’s—and tomorrow’s—world.

It’s a work in progress. Of course.
It will evolve. As I will.
I’ll meet you there.
