As coaches, we step into the intimate worlds of our clients, offering support as they navigate life’s challenges. Yet, woven into the topics our clients bring, we may encounter threads of grief, fear, or anxiety—emotions that can reflect or even trigger our own uncertainties. How do we hold space for others when the very emotions we’re witnessing stir something unresolved within ourselves?

These moments can leave even the most experienced coaches feeling unprepared. Grief, in particular, is a universal experience yet remains widely misunderstood. It shows up in many forms—loss of loved ones, of course, but also work-related losses or the existential grief tied to the biodiversity and planetary decline of these times. Learning to be present with clients in these “messy spaces” is a skill that can be developed and honed, profoundly serving both coach and client.

At Kaleidoscope, we provide a brave and supportive environment for coaches to reflect, process, and develop the skills needed to navigate these complexities.

KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS

I’ve worked with Emma for over 15 years in different contexts, and she has never failed to impress. Beyond being a highly skilled executive and team coach, what sets her apart is her authenticity, deep listening, and ability to adapt. She doesn’t shy away from the ‘elephants in the room’—she addresses them with care, respect, and an inclusive approach that fosters real change. Working with Emma is always a powerful, transformative experience.

Martin Lexa - CHRO - Executive and Team Coaching

Emma brings a perpetually positive spirit and a rare resourcefulness that go well beyond classical coaching. She honours confidentiality and has a remarkable ability to translate personal challenges—and the weight of personal loss—into insights that make sense in a corporate context.
She helped me develop ways to support my healing process while continuing to perform effectively in a demanding business environment.

Irina, Medtronic - Grief Coaching

Working with Emma to experience microdosing for the first time has been a kind invitation to follow curiosity, to explore and to notice what wants or needs to be seen. Tension, painful memories and contradiction haven’t disappeared. What has shifted is my capacity to hold and be with it — something subtle shifting underneath… inside.

Emma has been gentle, patient and kind, guiding me in sensing, noticing and integrating, helping me find words and language to express emerging insights.

If you are new to microdosing and curious to explore, supported by steady and compassionate guidance, I highly encourage you to reach out to Emma.

Alexandra Schreck - Microdosing Coaching

More than just a professional coach, she was a trusted presence during critical moments of growth. Every session sparked deep reflection, shaping not only my leadership impact but also my personal life. I wholeheartedly recommend Emma to anyone navigating significant transitions—professional or personal.

SS - Country Managing Director - Executive Coaching

Emma and I first connected in 2018, and over many conversations—often, but not always, centred on grief. I have learned so much, including how to speak of my own losses and acknowledge others’. The journey has been transformational, bringing long-buried grief to the surface and allowing my family to collectively honour our losses. Emma’s deep empathy and skilled listening create a safe space for processing grief. She offers perspective and insight, wisdom, and permission to speak openly. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Alison - Private Client - Grief Coaching

I had the honour of working with Emma some years ago, and the depth of our sessions resonate with me still today. Her unique blend of corporate experience and deep theoretical expertise gave me a fresh perspective, allowing me to approach my role with greater clarity, confidence, and effectiveness. I credit her with helping me find my professional balance, and I wish everyone the opportunity to experience the impact of her insightful questions.

A year has passed since I lost the greatest love of my life. I am so thankful for your presence in my grief. Thank you, dear Emma.”

My session with Emma was a profound experience that continues to shape me years later. With her steady and compassionate guidance, I navigated memories, met ancestors, and faced both light and shadow. One moment stays with me—writing a letter from my future self. The process taught me to trust my inner guidance, move forward with courage, and embrace freedom and peace. Emma held space with deep care, presence, and wisdom, making even the most challenging parts feel safe.
Her support extended beyond the session itself, leaving me with insights that continue to guide my life.

We have shared many conversations about grief—in all its messiness and its preciousness—and I am beyond grateful for her skill, compassion, kindness, and unwavering hopefulness. More recently, we explored the Enneagram, leading to fascinating insights into how my type might experience grief differently from others. If you find yourself grappling with the weight of grief and loss, I wholeheartedly encourage you to reach out to Emma.

Charlotte MacNaughton - Private Client - Grief Coaching

After being made redundant from a role that had deep personal meaning, I found myself at a crossroads. One path led me to Emma and the GriefWise retreat she facilitated.

From the beginning, she met me with kindness, patience, and deep respect. She held space for sorrow, memory, and transition—and helped me reconnect the threads of past, present, and future. Through her gentle guidance, I felt seen, supported, and invited to welcome even the parts I wanted to hide.

Emma brings her own lived experience of loss and honours each person’s unique journey. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking wise, authentic, compassionate support.

Alexandra Schreck - GriefWise Retreats

She combines deep empathy with sharp insight—quickly understanding people’s strengths and growth edges, and offering guidance that feels both personal and powerful. Across two organisations, Emma has helped my teams build trust, resilience, and a shared sense of accountability. Her workshops are always engaging, thought-provoking, and grounded in real-world application. I wholeheartedly recommend Emma to any leader or organisation seeking to grow their people and strengthen the human fabric of their teams.
