If a sit-down dinner isn’t your thing, Death Café offers another brave and safe space to talk about mortality, death and dying.

Originally created by Swiss sociologist, Bernard Crettaz, and later brought to the English-speaking world by Jon Underwood, a Death Café is neither grief support group nor counselling session. Instead, it’s an open forum where you can share your thoughts, ask questions, or simply listen to others’ reflections on mortality. Advice-giving is gently off the table, creating a relaxed space where you can feel heard and explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement or imposed solutions.

You’ll leave feeling more at peace with your mortality and perhaps more inspired to live fully.

Death Cafés are held regularly in English at Cancer Support Switzerland (CASS)’s beautiful château in Geneva.
Donations are welcome to help cover costs, but the most important thing you’ll bring is yourself.

Curious? Come along—drinks, biscuits, cake, and thought-provoking conversation await.
