My grief retreats are alive, up and running!
“There is no beginning that doesn’t require an ending, and no ending that doesn’t make possible a new beginning”. Mondi Bridges, wife of Bill Bridges
So many of us are carrying endings we’re not even naming, let alone honouring. Here’s one way I support people in meeting them.
Personalised Grief Retreats.
Over the last couple of weeks, I had the honour of facilitating my first two-day, online grief retreat. It was rich and powerful, and from my debrief so far with my client, it went well.
If you know my work, you’ll know I write often about endings, grief and loss — and the importance of tending to endings so that new beginnings, new life, can emerge.
Too often — in business and in life — we rush past endings and on to whatever is next.
We skip the essential pause: the time to absorb learnings, feel the feelings, and honour what has been. When we rush the process, our inner terrain — our “terroir” — misses out on the nourishment and renewal it needs.
When grief is unacknowledged (as it so often is), the energy it carries becomes stuck.
And when we tend to it? That stuck energy can become an inner power source — rich compost for something new.
My one-to-one grief retreats offer a well-held space for people navigating significant upheaval — personal or professional — to slow down, explore what’s happening, integrate what’s ending, and tend to what’s tender.
Some people are ready to leap into the new. And that’s marvellous.
But most of us — especially when our identity has been ravaged — need time to rest, root, and renew the ground beneath us.
In this recent retreat, we worked together online for four half-day sessions over a week.
We explored values, strengths, and sources of resilience. We honoured the grief of what had been lost. We worked systemically, listened to nature’s rhythms, and moved gently through the spiral of Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects. We didn’t force clarity — we cultivated readiness.
If this kind of exploration speaks to you, or to someone you know, you’re welcome to reach out. I am offering special reduced rates for all retreat work booked and facilitated before the end of 2025.
And if a retreat feels too big a leap, then we can have a no-obligation call.
